General:
I have a science degree from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. I studied psychology, biology and anthropology. (I repeatedly have to tell people about my educational background because for some reason people look at me and have a hard time believing that I'm a capable intellect.) I like to smile, laugh, and I'm somewhat of a comedian. I love my friends, family and husband with an undying devotion. I'm a humanitarian, a scientist, an author and a photographer. :)

The Today Project:
Every day I take at least one photo of some part of my day. I started the project "Today" about four years ago on Myspace. The project then moved to Flickr. Now, because of problems with my Flickr account I've moved my photos here. The "Today" project has a certain amount of respectability and can be seen as somewhat of an artistic success as you can license the photos through Getty's Images.

Travel Photography:
After moving to the Netherlands I found myself ill with a kidney infection. The doctors began rather weakly treating my illness. My infection grew worse, along with the pain associated with infection-induced struvite kidney stones. I thought it was possible, because of the doctors' ignorance of cross-culturally treating patients for illnesses, that I might kick the bucket via kidney failure. Sooooo, I added my travel photography online and fast - because I thought my family and friends might like to have access to those beauts in light of my seemingly imminent demise. Well, I made it through, and hey hey now there's a whole lot more online for your viewing pleasure. :)

In The Future:
I hope to be able to keep traveling and uploading cool photos from all of my days. I'd like to eventually scan and add in my old photo prints and family pictures as well; that would make for one seriously complete photo journal and I hope that I one day find the time to do that. Over time I'll probably add a story or two to some of the photos to add further content/context for you.
